About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Forest Technologist to join our team in Terrace, BC.
A major focus of this role will be training junior team members on forestry engineering practices, inventory, and timber cruising work. You will also complete all office administration associated with engineering and timber development work. Above all, you will make your safety and the safety of staff who report to you a top priority.
In order to qualify for this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years of related forestry experience in BC. You will also have previous experience with training and you must be registered with the Association of BC Forest Professionals (ABCFP).
You will also have a good understanding of BC Forestry, legislative framework, and engineering practices. Please note a valid Class 5 Driver's License is required.
A customer and company focused attitude and strong time management skills will be the key to your success in this role, as will your ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. The ability to manage multiple priorities, as well as communicating with and supervising junior team members while exercising patience is crucial.
