Set up and adjust saw equipment; Saw, trim and plane rough lumber into dressed lumber of various sizes; Replace blades or bands; Monitor logs and lumber movement to ensure cuts are made according to specifications; Examine logs and rough lumber to decide best lumber cuts; Clean and lubricate sawmill equipment; Start conveyor system to move logs and lumber to and from saws

Program description:

This position is being offered by Service Canada under the Career Focus program of the Youth Employment Strategy. Compensation

 

$18.00 to $20.00 hourly for 40 to 50 hours per week.
