Sawmill Supervisor (Forestry, Logging & Mill Operations)

• Scheduling, coordinating and supervising the activities of the other workers in the team.
• Ensure that the work environment is safe, secure and healthy.
• Ensure that equipment, materials and protective devices required by regulation are provided to workers and maintained in good condition.
• Responsible for preparing work schedule & coordinating work activities.
• Responsible for training workers regarding job duties and safety measures.
• Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates.
• Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity
• Maintain timekeeping and personnel records
• Prepare budgetary reports and keep production records.
• Receive complaints and resolve problems
• Order materials and supplies.

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary education is required.
• Minimum 1-year of related experience in the field.
