Sawmill Manager - Unique Employment Opportunity

Lakeside Timber is a cedar sawmill and planer operation that has operated in Tappen, BC for over 40 years. The Company is looking for someone to manage and maintain the equipment and staff.

Taking direction directly from the president of the company, you will be fully capable of troubleshooting and repairing all types of forklifts, loaders and other rolling stock items. You will also be fully capable of maintaining and overseeing operations of sawmill equipment including planer, resaw, hog system, and dry kiln.

Strong leadership skills and industry knowledge are a must as you will face production schedules, deadlines, broken down equipment, quality parameters, safety priorities and other challenges.

You will lead a Team of 8-10 that is experienced, hardworking and willing. At the end of each day and each week you will have accomplished what may have seemed impossible to some.
