JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent, the sawfiler supervisor will be responsible for leading all activities in the saw-filing department, leading a team of 6-8 individuals, including apprentices. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Maintenance of work place and ensuring high safety standards at all times

Working with team on productivity – ensuring all production KPI’s are met

Scheduling manpower and equipment for the team

Maintaining and calibration of precision equipment

Designing saws and calculating speed of saws

Preventative maintenance activities on all equipment in the saw file department
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must be a certified Benchman

5 years of leadership/supervisory experience leading a saw file team (as a benchman)

Experience benching round saws and band saws
-
Willingness to relocate for this role
