ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Increase market share of industrial products within the territory while managing costs and maintaining targeted volume and margin goals.
  • Prospect new accounts and establish long term strategic relationships that focus on the value of our products and programs that meet the needs of the client.
  • Serve as the relationship owner of all clients within the defined territory.
  • Manage and strategically improve a product specific distribution network.
  • Train distributor sales reps so that they focus on Roseburg industrial products.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of market trends to assist in key decisions impacting the markets and future growth of our clients.
  • Provide timely and informative administrative reporting as determined by management, as well as cost control for sales activities.
  • Investigate quality problems in the market and communicate issues to the appropriate party to drive resolution.
  • Territory primarily centered on Eastern Canada.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Four year business or equivalent degree.
  • Five or more years of successful experience in sales.
  • Strong self motivation and organizational skills with a proven sales record.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Roseburg product portfolio as well as our value over the competition.
  • Good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of our key competitors.
  • Strong selling skills including listening, questioning techniques, identifying buying signals, and negotiating.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Valid driver license with a safe and proven driving record.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately 60% of the time.
  • Self starter, with ability to achieve goals while working out of a home office atmosphere, based within the defined territory.
