Plant Manager – Chetwynd, BC – Pulp and Paper – $$ DOE

Our client is a major player in the pulp and paper/OSB industry.  The plant has a couple of hundred employees and this position is very important to the company’s success.  The compensation will be dependent on experience but will have a base salary, bonuses, benefits, etc. etc.

Our client wants someone with solid OSB and Pulp and Paper industry experience.  10 years in the industry and 5 at this or a similar level is required.  There is potential for exceptions.  Solid leadership experience is a requirement but this has to be interwoven with good social skills.  They want a leader not a screamer.

Education is important to this position.  They prefer a mechanical engineer but will look at other educational qualifications if combined with the right experience.  There are very good trades people for instance and power engineers who have moved up the ladder over time and if their experience is a good match they would get a good look.
