Job Description

Our expanding company is seeking to hire an Operations Director to join our leadership team. You will be in charge of providing inspired leadership for the operation for one of our organization's business units, which involves making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures. You will also have a key role in the trading team developing strategies, new markets and growth within the organization.

Responsibilities:

· Provide inspired leadership for the organization.

· Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.

· Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures.

· Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.

· Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.

· Work with trading team in order to develop new markets and growth within our customer base.

· Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.

· Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.

· Support worker communication with the management team. 

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field and/or at least 6 Years experience in a similar position, ideally in Mexico.

· Experience in management, operations, and leadership.

· Proven expierence in wholesale, trade and export of Softwood lumber, Hardwood lumber and Panels.

· Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management. Mexican Tax administration services kwnoledge a plus.

· Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.

· Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish

· Solid understanding of financial management and advance tangible knowledge in Excel

· Our main Market is Mexico so we require for all of our employees to be fluent in both English and Spanish. 

· General Knowledge of the Mexican market; import and export requirements and laws, Logistics process and experience with key local suppliers is also a plus.
