Job Description:

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Millwright will be working with a team of 3 and responsible for:

  • Maintenance of plant machinery such as pumps, conveyors, compressors, hydraulics etc.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance procedures to help limit plant downtime  
  • Read blue prints, diagrams and schematic to assemble new and existing plant equipment  
  • Constant inspection and examination of machinery to identify any issues or malfunctions   
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment  
  • Working 4-10 hour shifts on rotating mornings and graveyard

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Wage: $37.75/Hour with .50 cent premium for night shifts

Job Requirements:

  • Certified Journeyman/Red-Seal Millwright  
  • 5+ years hands on experience as a Millwright  
  • 3+ years working in a sawmill would be ideal bu will consider applicants from similar backgrounds such as mining
  • Able to take initiative and be proactive in regards to machine upkeep
  • Able to work in a team environment as well as autonomously
