Scotsburn Lumber Ltd.  operates a highly modern Stud Sawmill in Scotsburn, Northern Nova Scotia. We are assembling a list of potential candidates for the following position:

Millwright

We are looking for individuals who hold a valid millwright ticket but will consider those individuals in a Millwright Apprenticeship Program or individuals with significant experience working in the millwright trade. The position will be of interest to ambitious individuals capable of broadening his/her skills through training and experience to advance in the Millwright trade. Previous sawmill experience is considered an asset.

The successful candidates will be employed in a very fast paced environment working on automated equipment ranging from conveyors, pumps and various sawmill specific equipment. Rotating shift work including weekend scheduling are the normal operation conditions at this site, and with this classification shifts range from 10 or 12 hours.

We are looking for responsible individuals, with a commitment to workplace safety, work in a team environment, have the ability to multi-task, communicate successfully, be an innovative thinker and capable to work alone with minimal supervision when necessary.
