Our Crofton mill is looking for a Manager, Mechanical Maintenance. Reporting to the Manager, Kraft and Utilities this role provides leadership to mechanical maintenance supervisors and technical support staff to support our integrated and fast-paced operating mill. The incumbent will work closely with other members of the maintenance and operating teams to promote world class safety, to maximize availability and efficiencies and to optimize technological advancements.

Key accountabilities of this role are:

  • Ensure maintenance services are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered on time, while meeting cost and quality standards.
  • Maintain and improve an effective preventative maintenance program for the operations to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop, implement and maintain maintenance standards and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and performance of mill equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair budgets are prepared, met, and variances explained, with appropriate action taken as needed.
  • Ensure mechanical areas are manned with a capable workforce by applying succession planning systems, effective coaching processes, accountable leadership practices, and effective training.
  • Take a leading role in developing strategies for technology migration to avoid obsolescence within the context of continuous plant operations.
