Maintenance Millwright (Red Seal) (Maintenance & Trades)

Red Seal Millwrights needed to join a thriving industrial manufacturing company located on Vancouver Island. 

Job Summary 

• Wage: $34.85 per hour + Paid Overtime
• Industry: Wood, Pulp, Paper
• Location: Vancouver Island
• Shift: 9 Day/2 week Rotation

Job Description: 

Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that the mechanical equipment relevant to the mill operation is maintained and production goals are met. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Repair, modify, fabricate and maintain all mechanical equipment relevant to mill operations which include: fans, pumps, motors, valves, hoists, compressors, cylinders, conveyers, turbines
• Assemble and install new equipment and upgrades based on blueprints and schematic drawings
• Chase whistles, troubleshoot and perform scheduled and preventative maintenance
• Work closely with other members of the maintenance team to ensure mill is running on optimal
• Perform all work duties in accordance to the health & safety polices and foster a safe work environment

Job Requirements: 

• Red Seal certified Millwright
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in a heavy industry (Mining preferred)
• Completed Grade 12
• Must be willing to relocate
