Who We Are Looking For:

MCFT is seeking two dynamic, self-motivated individuals to join the faculty team at the Fredericton Campus. The two positions require an instructing assignment in the Forest Technology Program and the Advanced Fish and Wildlife Technology Program from August-May (10 months/year). Reporting to the Academic Chair, the Instructors will contribute to educating, training, mentoring and preparing students for the transition to enter a natural resources related profession.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

Reporting to the Academic Chair, you are responsible for:

Delivering course content and evaluation; planning and preparing instructional materials for both classroom and field lectures; working in a safe and physically demanding field environment; providing a professional and positive learning environment for all students; encouraging and assisting students to achieve their educational goals. As a member of the Faculty team, the Instructors will be required to assist in the delivery of additional courses related to the curriculum and compliment a team-oriented, fast-paced, work environment.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Required education includes a Diploma in Forest Technology, Bachelor of Science Forestry or any natural resources related field of study including Biology, Ecology or Environmental Science and a minimum of five (5) years' experience in the related designation.

Required Experience: 

Applicants must have an operating knowledge of technologies used in today's natural resource sectors including work experience in forestry, fish and wildlife management, forest fire protection, natural resources, forest ecology, forest entomology and pathology, and plant identification.

· Certificate in Adult Education.

· Previous experience working in an adult learning environment.

Additional Requirements:

· Written and spoken competence in English is essential.

· Hold a valid Class 4 NB driver's license or be willing to obtain.

· Willing to obtain a criminal record check.
