Lignin Industries Ltd is hiring 6 full-time contract field technicians  in Mackenzie, BC.

Location:

Mackenzie Forest District

Position Summary:

Lignin is looking for contract field technicians to join our team for the Summer and Fall field seasons for general field work including various site assessments, layout, silviculture and beetle probing surveys. Training will be provided for successful candidates.

Successful candidates will possess:

• GPS experience

• Field orientation skills

• Experience with various survey types, particularly silviculture and forest-health related in nature

• Class 5 Driver’s License

• Safety-focused values Minimum

Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Team player

• Emphasizes safety and quality in their work product

• Physically capable of completing production-based work

• Flexibility with dynamic programs

• Willing and able to work in remote, physically demanding locations in all weather conditions

The following would be considered an asset:

• First Aid training

• Crew supervision experience

• Familiarity with multiple forms of technology (Google Drive, Mac and PC interfaces, inReach, Garmin software, ArcMap etc) 

Compensation

Wages for this position are commensurate with experience.
