Job Description:

Work with our forestry consultant and timber manager to create a timber management plan and conduct timber sales on 8,000 acres of company owned timber land in the Thomaston Ga area. Supervise loggers during timber harvests. Create a burn plan and perform prescribed burns. Manage deer leases. Apply and/or supervise herbicide applications as needed. Supervise tree planting operations after clear cuts. Perform general land maintenance such as mowing grass, road work, repair fences/gates, etc. Maintain lodge, barns and shelters on the property.

Qualifications:

At least a 2 year forestry degree. Prefer 2-3 years of forestry experience. Live within an hour of the Thomaston, Georgia area.

Compensation

Salary:
$40-$50k per year depending on experience.
