An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced forest operations supervisor to join the Snowy Mountains Forests team based in Bombala NSW.
Forest Operations Supervisor
The Forest Operations Supervisor position reports to the Bombala Senior Operations Forester and embraces all aspects of softwood plantation management including establishment, maintenance, fire protection, harvesting and haulage supervision.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years operational experience in forest monitoring, strong communication and interpersonal skills, be self-driven, technically proficient and have the ability to work in isolated areas and as part of a small team.
The position involves being an officer in the Snowy CFA Industrial Fire brigade, seasonal fire standby and firefighting and preferably hold a heavy endorsed driver’s licence.
