Description
Based in Port McNeill, BC, our client has been operating on northern Vancouver Island and BC's central coast for more than 30 years. Their business focuses on resource stewardship and forest management operations and services, including timber harvesting, road construction, and wood brokerage. They are currently looking for an experienced and driven Controller to join the team. Working very closely with the Operations Management Team and reporting to the CFO, this role will see a designated and hands on Controller take complete ownership of the finance function. Managing a team of 12, this role will see you working not only with the finance team, but also with the wider stakeholders across the business. You will take responsibility for the monthly financial reporting, KPI reporting, forecasts and cash flow management whilst providing commentary and analysis on the businesses performance. You will close the financial cycle, produce working papers for multiple companies, and be heavily involved in an array of technical accounting. You will take ownership of the organization?s IT function working closely with our contract Managed IT service provider.
Requirements
Requirements:

This position is for you if you are a designated CPA with 5+ years of post-designation experience in progressive finance and management roles, and you articled in a national or regional public practice firm. Experience in the Forestry industry is preferred but not essential. You are well versed in accounting software, information technology and able to train and mentor the finance team.

Compensation


Salary: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
