The Tabor Shift Sawfiler must be ticketed or have an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience. They will have the ability to work well with others at all levels and should be a motivated, self-starter.

• Education Required: Valid Inter-Provincial Journeyperson Red Seal certification. 3rd or 4th year apprentices will be considered
• Valid Class 5 Drivers license
• Able to do shift work. 12hr shifts. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off. Every second weekend off 3 days)
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
• Must be dependable, efficient, professional and have a positive attitude

THE DUTIES:

Sawfiler duties include but are not limited to:

• Hammering round saws
• Operating Vollmer girders to sharpen saws,
• Operate a round saw tipping machine,
• Pouring babbitt pads for guides,
• Operating guide dresser,
• Grinding knives
• Changing saws and guides.
