We are recruiting for a CERTIFIED RED SEAL MILLWRIGHT for a relocation / career placement in Northern BC. This position requires strong knowledge of Industrial Forestry Operations, OR Heavy Industry OR Construction.

Core responsibilities include: Proactive maintenance, installations, repairs & modifications are required of all sawmill related equipment.

Relocation is required. Flexible with 2-week shift rotation that will include days, afternoons & graveyards. 4 10-hour days on, 3 days off per week. Hourly wage. Lots of overtime available.

Job Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting process maintenance issues as identified
• Preventative maintenance programs, proactivity mandate to keep downtime to a minimum.
• Be a champion of Work Place Health & Safety BEST PRACTICES
• Be a good team player & like your chosen profession.

Employment Qualifications:

• Journeyman (Red Seal) Millwright certification – British Columbia
• Excellent health and safety record
• Knowledge of Lumber Manufacturing Process is an ASSET
• Welding ticket an ASSET
• Strong mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skill set
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-starting team player who can take the lead or work alone
• Proactive mindset
• Ability to work graveyards or weekend shifts a bonus
