CN Utility Consulting, Inc. (CNUC) is currently seeking qualified, highly motivated individuals. CNUC is a highly experienced consulting and operations team with an unparalleled understanding of utility vegetation management (UVM) industry best management practices, and legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Tree and brush inventories
- Hazard tree inspection and evaluation
- Tree contractor work planning
- Data management
- Contact with property owners/public agencies regarding planned pruning and/or removals
- Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work area
- Help enforce on-the-job safety practices
- Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment at work site
- Service truck and equipment, keep trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion
- Report the need for equipment and truck repairs to supervisor
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in forestry or related field and/or experience in utility line clearance
- Species identification skills and invasive species knowledge, plus knowledge of tree growth rates
- ISA Arborist Certification desirable (or ability to attain within one year)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent customer service skills a priority
- Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
- Proficient in map navigation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office and data collection software (GIS experience a plus)
Compensation
