Aerotek's client is seeking accredited Fabricator(s) for their 74,000 sq. ft. facility in Delta, BC. This position requires motivated individuals with strong analytical and organizational skills who are comfortable with the handling and welding operations of large pulp mill equipment.

This Union environment has a broad range of products provides the opportunity for exposure to a vast range of materials as well as fabrication and welding processes used in the repair and manufacture of pulp mill equipment. The shop is ASME and Pressure Vessel certified providing opportunities for acquiring training and certification for those processes.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 2:00 pm - 12:00AM

Duties:

• Safely perform rigging techniques and operate large 25T overhead crane
• Perform fabricating operations to industry standards
• The ability to determine the correct procedure to achieve the end product which meets all the requirements as defined on the manufacturing documents
• Maintain an organized and safe working environment and approach
• Work cohesively with other employees in and environment of trust and respect
• Flexibility to work occasional odd shifts as workload requires

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Red Seal (asset)
• Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
• TIG welding with stainless steel an asset
• Ability to rig and operate overhead cranes
• Strong ability to operate various tools of the trade ie; positioners, manipulators and layout equipment
• Ability to accurately interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols
• Experience in a jobbing shop environment an asset
• Experience at welding Stainless Steel an asset

Compensation

$60,320 per Year
