Job Description and some of the responsibilities

• Piling timbers off the out-feed of sawmill.
• Piling edged lumber off sawmill.
• Ensuring clean-up of mill is kept to meet personnel safety, fire safety, operational and aesthetic requirements.
• Servicing and greasing sawmill components as required.
• Assistance in maintenance of saw mill equipment as requested.
• Ability to run a edging machine
• Knowledge in using blade sharpening machines

Job Requirements

• Be physically capable of performing this role.
• Maintain the ability to work as a Tail Sawyer on a Circular Saw and Woodmizer Bandsaw.
• Experience in the sawmill industry is an asset.
• Reliable transportation

• Larger machinery knowledge
• Adaptable to many different outdoor elements
• Grading Ticket is a valuable asset
