STORES TECHNICIAN

Slave Lake Pulp, a Division of West Fraser Mills Ltd., operates a state-of-the-art aspen-based BCTMP pulp mill 20 km east of Slave Lake and is currently seeking a Full-Time Stores Technician.  Besides the technical skills that are outlined below, SLP requires an individual who is highly motivated, has a safety first attitude, and who can work well as a team member.

PREREQUISITES INCLUDE:

  • Grade XII or GED
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Experience in purchasing and inventory control systems
  • Demonstrated team skills
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Ability to operate a forklift would be an asset

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Day to day shipping and receiving functions
  • Maintenance and organization of warehouse storage areas
  • Maintenance of computerized stock records
  • Replenishing inventory items
  • Paperwork associated with purchasing process, as required
  • Interaction with other departments
  • Some lifting is required
  • Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
  • Wage to commensurate with experience
