USNR is seeking a self-motivated Software Developer to join our Service team in Salmon Arm, BC.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Software Development for various scanning systems in the wood processing industry.  Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of software within project schedules and budgets.  Responds to and communicates effectively with service department, engineers and project managers to ensure customer requirements are understood and resolved.  Provides support for legacy systems.  Follow prescribed coding standards and methodologies.  Completes required documentation and participates in software reviews.  Completes unit level quality assurance and resolves defect tracking issues.  

 REQUIREMENTS

  •  Diploma or degree in one of the following areas: technology, computer science or engineering
  • Hardware and software application knowledge
  • Knowledge of the wood processing industry (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of C and/or C++ or similar programming languages
  • Knowledge of databases is an asset
  • Ability to work effectively with customers
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Self-motivated and a team player
