RIMEX’s primary markets include mining, forestry, agriculture and industrial equipment, specializing in haul trucks and loaders. RIMEX also offers a full range of complementary products to match their wheel counterparts.
Our continued growth and development has created a need for Skilled Labourers in our Surrey Production Plant.
The position is full time - 40 hours per week, with possible shift work.
Position requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Perform tasks such as Grinding and Deburring in a safe manner with minimal rework
• Lift and move product safely as required
• Perform manual labour on various tasks and assignments as instructed by the supervisor using various tools
• Participate in QDIP meetings
• Identify safety hazards and bring it to the attention of the supervisor
• Operate all equipment, including small hand tools, in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
• General clean up of working area to help maintain a safe working environment
Education & Experience:
• Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience using various hand tools
• Experience operating a forklift
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
Skills and Abilities:
• Great attention to detail with the ability to focus on the task at hand
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with fluency in English
• Team oriented thinker with the ability to work alone or in a team
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to read a measuring tape
• Ability to work with moderate supervision
• Proven ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety procedures
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
