Our client is a large manufacturer of building materials. They are currently looking for a Silviculture Forester in the Peace River Region of BC.
In this role you will lead, plan, and manage district resource activities. You will also use forestry practices to maintain healthy, productive timberlands to supply the needs of mills, and you may be assigned to lead and coordinate special projects.
The ideal candidate will have In-depth knowledge of Silviculture practices and fire control techniques, knowledge of current supervisory and management techniques and strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
2+ to 5 years experience required.
A commercial Driver’s License and a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry are required. Frequent is travel required for this role.
