Forest Management / Cutting Permit Development 

Sidley Mountain Forestry Consultants Ltd is an established resource management and forest development company providing development and planning services for Industry, First Nations, and Government clients in the Southern Interior of British Columbia since 1995. With a focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity, we effectively provide full-phase development and planning services for our clients. Our business office is located in Rock Creek, B.C. in the beautiful and diverse South Okanagan / Boundary Region. We are looking for Forest

Development staff with a variety of training, experience, and skill including: 

Ideal candidates will have: 

• Cutting Permit development including recce, cutblock / road engineering, stream classification, and detailed planning field work experience and training. 

• Timber Cruising experience. 

• Forestry Technology Diploma or Degree. 

• Registered or eligible for registration with ABCFP as RFT or RPF. 

• BC’s forest legislation and regulations knowledge. 

• A valid Class 5 Drivers License with a clean abstract. 

• Knowledge and ability to operate off road vehicles.

• A desire for work and play in the outdoors. 

Successful candidates will join a team of outdoor and family oriented individuals with a desire to work hard and play harder. 

Positions available vary from full time to seasonal employment. 

 

Compensation

SMFC offers a competitive compensation package with benefits and allowances. Wages will be commensurate with education, training, experience, and performance.
