Client Description

Our client is a premier organization distributing an extensive breadth and depth of technical products to the pulp, paper and forestry sector. To support its expansion, they are currently seeking a stellar Outside Sales Representative to generate new business and maintain existing key accounts in the industrial sector within North America.

Job Description

Cold calling to generate new leads and client accounts in the forestry, pulp and paper sector.
Outside Sales duties visiting client locations and soliciting face time with prospects
Maintaining relationships with existing markets and soliciting purchase orders from target accounts 
Command control over proposals and presentations for projects
Adhere to sales goals and targets directed by management
Manage data of pricing, sales and activity reports

The company will expect from you:

5 - 10 plus years experience in sales, preferably in the pulp and paper sector.
Technical diploma or degree is looked upon highly but not essential
Experience in soliciting new business from large industrial clients.
Familiarity with long-term sales cycles inherent to the industrial sector.
Hunter/farmer mentality--the ability to leverage on relationships from the get-go and nurture these to build extensive networks
Understanding of the customer/market dynamics 
The ability to travel within North America and for 50-75% of the month.
Capacity to handle common computer functions via MS Office platform

Compensation

In return you can expect:

$60K base plus commissions.
$120-150K plus total compensation
