Job Description: 
As a Senior Resource Forester, you'll be managing approximately 101,000 acres primarily located in SW Georgia. You will be involved in the planning, preparation and contract administration of timber harvesting, road maintenance, and silvicultural activities along with all affiliated functions.
This role will require that you spend 80% of your time in the woods doing a variety of tasks including timber harvest supervision, harvest boundary layout, designating stream buffers and other similar tasks in a variety of weather conditions over difficult terrain.
Approximately 20% of your time will be spent in the office documenting forest practices and applications.
As a Senior Resource Forester, you'll have the opportunity to:
• Support and protect compliance with our Environmental Action Plan, State of Georgia and Florida regulations, and SFI principles.
• Ensure that all contracts meet or exceed budgeted targets and customer commitments.
• Coordinate management activities with various business lines including Real Estate and Energy and Natural Resources.
• Maximize the value of current harvest and future value of the residual stands.
Qualifications: 
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Forestry, or closely related field, from an SAF accredited educational institution required.
• Five or more years of forestry experience, including timber harvesting, managing logging contracts and log sale agreements required
• Computer proficiency with various Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint
• Effective communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
• Thorough working knowledge of forecasting and budgeting
• Working knowledge in the areas of logging systems and related laws, including environmental and SFI and BMPs
• Working knowledge of GIS systems
• Silvicultural knowledge

Compensation

Salary: $58,400 - $77,400
