Senior Production Manager -– Wood Pulping Process (Forestry, Logging & Mill Operations)

Global Company with a proven technology needs a Senior Production Manager who is an SME on the wood pulping processes.
 
As the Senior Production Manager, you will provide technical support for day to day operation of the plant.  Ensure safe plant operation and adherence to process safety, OSHA and EPA rules and company policies.  Drive standardization across shifts, optimizes fixed and variable unit costs.  Work closely with other support groups like Maintenance to ensure that proper priorities are placed on items in the Maintenance backlog.  Leading troubleshooting efforts when problems arrive.  Use your critical thinking and problem solving skills. Must have experience with wood pulping processes.
 
Provide guidance and input to the achievement and development of plant goals, objectives, and operational budgets.  Provide Technical Support and troubleshooting expertise to Daily Operational Team for plant problems that occur.  Support EHS after  event that impacts production or plant.  Provide technical and leadership support in root cause failure analysis for production, EHS, and Quality Incidents.   Ensure proper documentation of technical & operating files, records, procedures, and their annual recertification.
 
Participate in micro/finite production planning and scheduling.  Assist and support Production Supervisor to ensure scheduling for adequate shift coverage is maintained.  Maintain cross training initiatives.  Interface with suppliers, customers, and vendors as needed.  Monitor and track critical supplies, solvents, catalysts, and other materials.  Partner with the Production Supervisor to maintain the safe operation and reliability of the plant.
 
Requirements for this Senior Production Engineering position:

  • BS Chemical Engineering – prefer PE & MS
  • In-depth experience in the Pulp & Paper industry
  • Experience with high-temperature wood waste processing – Wood Pulp Processing
  • Willing to travel as needed up to 50% during plant startup & 30% after startup
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Verifiable record of accomplishments

Compensation

$120,000 - $150,000 Range + Excellent Benefit & Paid Relocation to the Southern USA.
