POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Senior Development Technologist you will be responsible to apply your various technical skills and knowledge involved with; timber development, SP data collection, GPS traversing, riparian assessment, and timber reconnaissance/ cruising.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry.
- Registered with the ABCFP.
- A minimum of 3 years timber development experience.
Detailed knowledge of the full spectrum of tasks encompassed by a multi-phase project including but not limited too:
a) Timber recce and summarization of timber quality/quantity.
b) Boundary layout.
c) Stream assessments.
d) Road location and traverse.
e) Site plan data collection.
f) Timber cruising.
g) Deflection analysis.
h) Road design.
- Cable layout experience preferred but not essential.
- Valid driver’s license.
