Senior Account Executive, Offshore Sales (Management & Executives)

GENERAL:

Reporting to the Manager, Offshore Sales, the successful candidate will be an experienced lumber trader in Offshore markets, with a proven ability to generate new sales and maintain current customer relationships.  Your ability to operate effectively in a dynamic quick-paced environment, while providing leadership to the rest of the team will be of vital importance. 

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Develop and execute the department business plan while maximizing overall returns to the Company.
  • Provide leadership on a day-to-day basis to the team.
  • Manage and build strong relationships with customers worldwide
  • Provide logistical support for our offices located in established key markets.
  • Promotion of Canfor products with a special focus on high value items.
  • Ability to manage inventory with a focus on turnover performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will bring the following experience and expertise:

  • Solid track record in offshore sales.
  • 10 years experience in Softwood lumber sales.
  • Clear understanding of supply chain fundamentals that support offshore transactions.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Proven track record for building exceptional customer relationships.
  • Well organized, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to travel to international markets.
