Porcupine Wood Products, a manufacturer of premium western red cedar products; has an immediate opening for a highly motivated professional to join the production team as a Sawmill Supervisor.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Sawmill Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of safety, quality and production of their shift. 

Functions and Responsibilities: 

• Maintain the highest standards with respect to safety at all times, lead by example and ensure your team follows all policies, procedures, practices and WorkSafeBC regulations;
• Identify opportunities to improve and look for opportunities to reduce cost, while safely meeting production targets;
• Coach, train and support team members to maximize performance;
• Manage conflicts;
• Engage all employees to provide valuable input into work processes and systems 

 

Porcupine Wood Products is located in Salmo, BC. This preferred area of BC boasts an abundance of outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, hunting and skiing.
