  • Experience:
    • Experience in wood products manufacturing at the Supervisory or Superintendent level.
  • Education:
    • Preference may be given to those with Post-secondary education in wood products or forestry
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Effective communicator with strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
    • Solid knowledge of Performance Management and a Continuous Improvement process.
    • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and team building skills.
    • Solid understanding and knowledge of optimization equipment and processes.
    • Proficiency in contemporary business management skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with the desire to accept the challenges of working in continually changing internal and external business conditions.
    • Ideally, will have a strong background in maintenance.
  • Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Ensuring the highest level of workplace safety.
    • Optimizing the safety and production performance of the operation.
    • Provide direction and support for operating and supervisory personnel and foster a highly effective working relationship with all employees.
    • Provide development for supervisory personnel
    • Maintain a liaison with ongoing continuous improvement / QC initiatives.
    • Develop annual budgets and cost control programs.
    • Ensure full compliance with applicable government regulations and corporate policies.
