Sawmill Maintenance Manager (Maintenance & Trades)

This role will lead the budgeting, forecasting and expenditures relating to the maintenance of the sawmill and planer facilities and oversee the training of all maintenance staff and hourly personnel including apprentice trades people. Additionally, this opportunity will be assisting in the preparation of capital plans and the responsibility for the implementation of those plans. A key project focus for this role will be the maintenance and evolution of a Computerized Maintenance Management System. 

 

1. Absolute minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Maintenance Manager role in an industrial setting

2. Must know the difference between predictive and preventative maintenance

3. Must come from a manufacturing background

4. Excellent communication skills

5. Strong experience with budgeting and scheduling of a plant's maintenance team
