With the current workforce retiring in the next 5-7 years, my client is seeking motivated professionals to join them for the long. Currently seeking a Reliability Supervisor for Vancouver Island.
This role will be reporting to the Manager, Maintenance and is accountable for supervising and planning for lubrication mechanics and vibration technicians with an objective of safely performing the work necessary to optimize equipment performance and maximize equipment reliability. You will work with maintenance and operations teams to continually improve safety, productivity, performance improvements, repair costs and other joint objectives.
Key competencies for this position include the ability to:
- supervise a team of mixed trades with safety as an overriding priority
- provide CMMS job planning for on the run and shut down lubrication tasks
- provide EXP job planning for preventive maintenance routes
- involve people appropriately in problem solving and decision making
- manage performance and build effective teams
- deal effectively with conflict
- communicate with all levels of the line-organization
- organize the workload to meet both short term and long term objectives
- provide strong technical skills with a mechanical maintenance reliability focus
- demonstrate strong computer skills
- implement and support Asset Care
For a successful application, you must have a mechanical trade certificate or a technical diploma and/or degree in mechanical engineering. Must come from a heavy industry background and previous supervisory experience with trade workers an asset.
