Our Hinton Pulp Division has exciting opportunities for highly motivated individuals to fill the following position:   Reliability Operations Specialist

Hinton Pulp is striving to improve operational, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation reliability. The role of the reliability department is to develop/implement best practices, systems, equipment design, etc. to help support our operational and maintenance departments achieve excellence in reliability.

The reliability department has an opening for a Reliability Operations Specialist. Candidates should have supervisory experience. We are looking for a person who has a strong ability to lead cross functional teams, has good process knowledge, can drive projects/processes ahead despite competing priorities, persists in seeing solutions implemented, will challenge existing systems/processes, can do what they are told cannot be done, will work closely with mill operations, and can work on several items simultaneously.

Some of the initiatives for this role are:

  • Key driver of operator basic care process
  • Root Cause Analysis leader
  • Asset management leader
  • Develop failure prevention plans for our most critical assets sitewide
  • Drive excellence in housekeeping
  • Work with operations to ensure all necessary startup procedures exist
  • Developer/owner of winterization plan.

This position reports to the Reliability Manager.
