This company is looking for a dedicated Quality Control Supervisor to ensure the mill’s operation is running as efficiently as possible, and that the end product meets Canadian Lumber Standards Rating.
Position Overview
The Quality Control Supervisor is a key member of the management team, tasked with ensuring the production of the highest quality product in the most efficient manner. This individual will be responsible for supervising and educating employees on areas for quality and efficiency improvements, as well as conduct inspections and audits of equipment to ensure optimal performance is gained.
Additional responsibilities include:
· Ensure that employees are engaged in and are part of the company's philosophy of continual quality improvement with safety being a key factor.
· Monitor and track quality of product output and make recommendations to management of areas in need of improvement.
· Investigate quality abnormalities and make recommendations of action plans to remedy abnormalities.
· Work with other department managers to ensure safety standards are adhered to and work to implement new safety strategies that aid in the continuous improvement of the operation
Requirements & Qualifications
Interested applicants must meet the following requirements:
· Quality control experience within a sawmill
· CLS grading ticket
· Experience with Autolog and/or Comact is ideal
Experience: 2+ to 5 Years
