E Sciences, Incorporated has an immediate opening for an experienced environmental consultant in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an environmental consultant in Florida, preferably with experience in transportation projects (both PD&E studies and design permitting).  Strong written and oral communication skills required.

Responsibilities:

• Jurisdictional wetland delineations
• Local/state/federal wetland permitting
• Project management
• FDOT PD&E studies
• Protected species assessment and permitting
• Organize and conduct fieldwork activities for wetlands and listed species surveys
• Tree inventories

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 Years of Experience working as an environmental consultant
• B.S. Degree in one of the natural sciences from an accredited college or university
• Position requires a high level of coordination and interaction with other team members, project professionals, and local, state and federal regulatory personnel
• Physically able to travel and conduct field work on various project sites and meet with clients and occasionally assist in our other Florida office locations
• Must have a working knowledge of wetland science, flora/fauna and ecosystems of Florida
• Authorized Gopher Tortoise Agent a plus
• ISA Certified Arborist with 2+ years’ experience a plus
• Proficient with GIS and mapping
• Soil, groundwater and surface water sample collection experience a plus
• Ability to work independently
• Must have excellent communication and writing skills
