Procurement Forester / Timber Buyer (Forester)

Arbortech Forestry is seeking 2 full time procurement forester/timber buyers to purchase both hardwood stumpage and cut logs in the southern / northern Indiana and Illinois region. We are looking for independent, motivated individuals interested in working directly with landowners and loggers to negotiate and administer timber sale contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or extensive experience as a timber buyer.

Primary responsibilities include locating and cruising pieces of timber through cold leads, scaling and grading stumpage and cut logs, and managing jobs by acting as a liaison between loggers, truck drivers, and landowners.
