Neucel Specialty Cellulose is a dissolving sulphite pulp mill located in Port Alice, British Columbia. We are an aggressive player in the global market for specialty cellulose products.
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time, Day Shift

Location: Port Alice, Northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia
Skill Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following credentials:
• 3rd Class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency Certificate;
• 3 to 5 years industrial experience ; and
• Can fluently speak and write English.
Duties
The Power Boiler 3rd Engineer is responsible to the Shift Engineer and the Assistant Shift Engineer for the discharge of the following duties:
• Supervises production activities to ensure containment and compliance to specifications, standard operating procedures, productivity and quality.
• Complete steam and electrical distribution to the mill while maintaining proper conditions on turbo generators/tie circuits, and proper boiler balance to ensure maximum hog/SSL firing.
• Arranges for the maintenance and repair of machines, equipment and facilities.
• Interprets specifications to determine the acceptability of work in process.
• Manages the flow of materials in various areas and providing for supplies-consumables for use.
• Determines manufacturing priorities based on established production schedules and
makes daily assignments.
• Provides input, feedback and seek help from within and other departments for areas
of concern or for possible improvements.
Compensation
Salary: $33.40 Hourly for 40 Hours per week; Benefits as per collective agreement
