Planning Forester Supervisor (Forestry, Logging & Mill Operations)

Located in stunning northern British Columbia, one of Canada’s leading forestry company’s currently requires a senior forestry professional to supervise and support their operations. This is a fantastic job that will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their career and join part of a strong management team in the area. 

As a senior member of the operations team, the Planning Supervisor will hold both planning and management responsibilities. On the operational side, this will include forestry reconnaissance and planning whilst working with a number of key parties, including First Nations, Government and your own team members. A key part of your operational responsibility will involve ensuring that company policies are enforced and that your team members are operating in compliance with regulatory guidelines. You will also be responsible for managing and delivering team budgets and ensuring that projects are completed as planned. 

To be a success in this role, you will hold either a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry or equivalent, or a Technical Diploma and have at least six years of experience in the forestry industry. You will have proven management skills and have a keen interest in developing the skills of junior forestry professionals. Ideally, the successful candidate will have been exposed to some forestry software and have strong computer skills. Preferences will be given to those candidates with their RFP or RFT designations.
