Silvatech is accepting resumes for the position of Planning / Forest Operations Manager. This is a full-time position based out of Salmon Arm, B.C.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science in Forestry
- Registered Professional Forester in BC
- 10 + yrs. experience in resource development planning and operations
- Demonstrated forest management experience (planning, engineering, cruising, harvest supervision, silviculture) in interior BC
- Strategic planning / analysis experience
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills in English
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Good computer skills and proficiency with GIS / Microsoft Office Suite
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic and operational planning
- Forest operations team supervision
- Project development, management, reporting
- Business development
- Timber license management
- Timber valuations
- Team member on IRM projects
- Client liaison, referrals, stakeholder meetings facilitation
Compensation
Remuneration and benefits will be commensurate with experience and responsibilities.
