Planerman / Setup Person (Forestry, Logging & Mill Operations)

We require an experienced planer set-up person for our forest products manufacturing facility located in Salmo. The preferred candidate will have experience grinding flat and profile planer knives for green and dry products. Skills will include the ability to do size changes and knife changes as required, to maintain superior finish. May be required to assist with or undertake planer repairs.

Requirements

A minimum 2 yrs Planerman/setup experience, Woods planer experience would be ideal. Familiar with all aspects of knife grinding and setting up planer heads. A self starter able to do equipment repairs on the planer and associated equipment. Ability to feed planer as required.
