Catalyst is looking for a capable leader at its Sunshine Coast facility to oversee the operation and maintenance of its paper machine. Reporting to the Manager of Paper Operations and setting high standards for yourself and your crew, you will be responsible for driving improved performance and efficiency in the paper mill to meet safety, customer, cost and productivity objectives. Not one who's afraid to challenge the status quo, you will cast a critical eye on processes to identify ways to improve productivity and efficiency as you guide operations and maintenance teams at the mill.
As Manager, Paper Machine, you will:
- lead your area safety program
- develop, supervise and implement the operation and maintenance plans that will ensure the achievement of the paper machine production plan
- ensure that product quality from our paper machines complies with mill and customer specifications and helps to meet product development strategies.
Your experience and expertise include:
- several years of paper mill experience
- a related degree (preferred)
- strong management skills
- solid technical and troubleshooting skills
- effective communication abilities
- proven track record of initiating change, challenging the status quo and being a change agent
- proficiency with MS Office
- familiarity with SAP and DCS systems (preferred).
