As Operations Superintendent, you will report to the Operations Manager, Forest
Management Group (FMG) East and be responsible for ensuring log deliveries destined
for our manufacturing facility meet volume, size, species, cost and other targets. You
will manage a workforce comprised of staff and contractors, ensuring all practices
and operations are carried out safely and in compliance with company, industry and
government standards. Canfor has one of the lowest injury rates in the Canadian forest
industry and, like us, you're committed to keeping it that way. Your input will also be sought
on budget development and for ways to drive improvements within the supply chain.
As Operations Superintendent, you bring:
- a minimum of 10 years' forestry experience
- a degree or technical diploma
- excellent leadership, communication and project management skills, with an ability to
- work within a team environment
- excellent knowledge of applicable BC legislation and policies
- strong computer skills and related software knowledge including forestry applications
- a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
