Operations Forester (Forestry, Logging & Mill Operations)

An opportunity has become available for an Operations Forester with one of Canada’s most progressive forestry businesses. This is a perfect opportunity to continue to develop your technical skills, whilst take on more responsibility for the daily harvesting and field operations. 

As the Operations Forester, you will work with the Woodlands Superintendent to ensure that harvesting and production rates are achieved on both a short and long-term basis. Utilizing prior experience in harvesting, the Operations Forester will implement a program that will deliver efficiency and productivity gains. The successful candidate will be a positive and ambitious forester who can bring a strong business focus to the role. They will have strong computer skills, and be capable of communicating effectively with First Nations, contractors and government bodies. 

To be suitable for this role, the successful candidate will have four years of experience in the forestry industry in Canada. As a graduate of a Bachelor of Forestry program or equivalent, the Operations Forester will either have or be working towards obtaining their P.Eng designation in Saskatchewan or another province. Ideally the successful candidate will have four or more years of forestry experience, in order to be able to support junior members of the team.
