A fantastic opportunity exists for an Operational Forester to join a team of professionals in one of British Columbia's premier forestry operations. This job has come about through the growth of the business, which is expected to provide excellent long-term career stability and opportunity.
Based primarily in the field, the Operations Forester will play a critical role in ensuring that the production goals established by the planning department are met on the ground. Working with multiple departments, you will provide assistance and support in the development areas of the operation. Where required, you will be closely involved in the construction of roads for haulage and form part of the harvesting operations team. This role calls for a strong personality who will ensure that the business objectives are achieved in a timely and effective manner.
To be suitable for this role you will be eligible for either an RPF or RFT designation with at least three years of Canadian forestry work experience. Preference will be given to those candidates with interior forest management experience who are looking to continue developing their skills in operations. For this role, only candidates who are eligible to work in Canada, or are United States Citizens will be considered.
