Position: Office Manager

Company Profile:

Our client is a publicly traded, Vancouver based, emerging Forestry Company with operations in Western and Central Canada. They are currently engaged in the ownership of private timberlands, harvesting operations and manufacturing specialty wood products. Primarily servicing logging operations in the Kootenay and Mackenzie regions of British Columbia, their vision is to take this modest fleet and grow it into one of the largest independent trucking companies in Western Canada.  

Employment Opportunity:

As an integral member of a fast-paced, emergent company, the Office Manager will be responsible for a broad spectrum of Human Resource and Office Administrative duties.

Working with the President, CFO and Corporate Secretary, you’ll be supporting the senior management team to ensure smooth operation of the business. As the company continues to grow, there will be ample opportunity to advance and take on greater responsibility within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Administer payroll

·         Benefits Administration; including enrollments, changes, and termination of employee benefits

·         Administer approval of expense reports

·         Assist with the configuration of email accounts

·         Manage travel and accommodation arrangements

·         Coordinate online banking access and authorized signatories

·         Manage office supply inventory

·         Draft internal newsletters

Qualifications:

·         Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an Office Manager role

·         Strong problem-solving, research, communication and management skills

·         Great presence with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

·         The desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

·         High energy and enthusiasm with the motivation to make a difference in the growth of this company

Compensation

Compensation will range from $40,000 - $60,000, depending on experience, plus benefits and a vacation package.
