Meadow Creek Forest Products is currently seeking a Millwright required to work in an industrial manufacturing environment with emphasis on safety, quality, environmental concerns and production goals. Performs mechanical repair and maintenance on industrial equipment in a sawmill.
Location: North Kootenay – Kaslo, BC Canada
This is a Full time position.
Responsibilities
- Spend time fabricating/building special projects for installing during down time; gearboxes, fans, motors and machinery
- Performs repairs on all equipment in the facility, including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment within state and local standards
- Good understanding of chain and power ban drives
- Must be attentive, responsible, goal oriented, with the ability to follow lock out, and all safety procedures
Safety
- Requires personal protective equipment be worn at all times;
- safety glasses;
- hearing protection;
- head protection;
- steel toed work boots;
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience
- Experience with tools of the industry
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Weld and cut at journeyman level
